Maqhawe, also known as Maq, is originally from Newcastle, KZN. They moved to Malmesbury in the Western Cape as a family when he was 12 years old and he matriculated at Swartland High School in Malmesbury, where he also learnt to speak Afrikaans fluently. He developed an interest in Agriculture as a subject in high school. In 2009 He studied Agriculture at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Wellington and graduated end of 2011 and thus holds a National Diploma in Agriculture. After graduating He took on the role of managing their family business - a super market selling various products. His father has always been an entrepreneur and raised them to do the same.
He moved to Gauteng in the year 2013 to pursue the music industry as it has always been a dream of his since a very young age. He free-lanced in doing marketing and management of musicians. In 2018 Maqhawe got introduced to the ministry of Foundations for Farming and has ever since been training and developing people and communities to become self-sustainable. Maqhawe is very passionate about Foundations for Farming as it is a constant opportunity to bring the Gospel to people as well as to help them live a better life - Not just by giving practical skills & knowledge but also by being a vehicle of mind-set transformation.
