Dan Khumalo
I have been trained by Foundation for Farming, from 11-23 August 2019. It was based on Faith; Which built up me spiritually, restored hope and left me motivated. It served as spiritual development and left me be lieving that indeed all things are possible if one believes. 2. It was based on Family Values, which motivated me to be the spiritual leader of my household. Managing my household comes first before community groups, I have to start with my family. Teach them ancient ways of the Lord, it will keep us prosperous. 3. Farming was profound, it taught me how to cooperate with soil in a Godly way. To never be selfish, but protect the soil. Soil is a very good bank that God has given us, where I can put one potato and get 50 kg bag of potatoes. Also how to save water, while using it sufficiently. 4. Finance. Wow, I learned how to save money and also to invest the benefits. How to avoid credits. How to give back to the community, while not losing. 5. Practical part of farming, I learned to plant without wastage, at standard, on time, with joy. Spacing my seedlings, watering, making compost, protecting the soil and dealing with pests.
Lazarus Mokone
My name is Lazarus from Hammanskraal I work with my community in the place called Maubane. I was running out of ideas of what to do in my community so I hear from a friend about this training. So I pray to God about financials so you hear from God and support me. I learn more stuff like:
1. How to do a door garden and planting different vegetables
2. How to plant herbs and learn different herbs and how to use them.
3. I also learn about water harvesting and I am ready to do water harvesting for my family and teach my community to save water.
4. I also encourage by Spirit of the team that we have.
5. The thing that stand out for me was bees-keeping.
There's a lot that I learned from everyone who attended. Example,
Peter who is my friend, he told me about sugar cane farming and he is passionate about it. So I like to say thank you again for the opportunity.
I've learned more about Faith, Family, Farming and Finance. About FAITH I've learned that God has a covenant with us and we need to trust Him, praise Him and follow his Word in everything we do. About FAMILY I've learned that as family we need to support each other, love each other and care for each other. About FARMING I've learned about the four principles of farming. I need to use what I have in order to get what I don't have. I need to do things in time. I need to measure my garden so that everything I do will be at standard. I've learned about how to make compost and I've learned about the recipes for pesticides. Finally I've learned about FINANCE. I've learned that I need to put God first in everything I do so that I will reach my destiny.

While at Busisa I did a Foundation for Farming training course and learned a lot about Faith, Family, Finance and Farming ... For all these modules I found a corresponding scripture in the Bible and one of the things I learned was that you must have faith in everything you do and don't forget to pray. In practical farming I learned how to never burn the weeds in the garden because it kills nutrients of the soil and I found that grass is so important to the garden that we can no longer go to the mall to buy compost but we are going to use everything to build it for ourselves. Mr. Francois taught us everything with patience and love in a way we could all understand.
Nenhlanhla Masuk
When I was at Busisa I did the Foundation for Farming training and learned about Faith, Family, Finance and Farming and that in all we do we have to ask God to be with us and that we should always speak a blessing and not a curse. I also learned that the talents we have been entrusted with, must not be hidden from others. Also to rotate our crops and make pesticides and plant potatoes in a sack.
